I was planning the rout in USA half a year before…what to see, where to go this or that day…
Today we supposed to visit Napa valley, to try some special Californian vines and to enjoy the sunset near the Golden Gate.. BUT!!!!! Always be ready to reorganize your plans 🙂
Morning news: oO Napa on fire..
We are 25 km from Napa, but even here we can smell smoke in the air and find ash on our car ;(
So, new plan-we will spend all our day in San Francisco! 🙂 Let’s go!
We find a nice place to have a breakfast in Vallejo:) Do you remember that dishes are big in America?:)
Check this out:)! Andrew’s breakfast 🙂
Now we are ready to go:)
Getting to San Francisco via Golden Gate! Remember that you need to pay if you a crossing a bridge by car!!! For more information visit this site web
Our first place to visit for today is Palace of fine art. It was easy to find free parking near it.
Gorgeous building makes you feel you’re walking through ancient Roman or Greek ruins, for the first time feeling myself like in Europe 🙂
The Palace is the only remaining structure from 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition. If you are not interested in history 🙂 may be you’ve seen this unique place in some movies. E.g. “The Rock” with Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage. 🙂
It is free to walk around! Nice lagoon is full of frogs, turtles, ducks and swans…
It’s also a good place for a picnic with amazing view!
Near the palace is an ordinary street, but look at this great architecture!! I just can’t stop taking shots of these beautiful buildings!
but we have some more places to visit, so now we are getting closer probably to the most famous San Francisco’s landmark – it’s Golden Gate bridge!!
You can see it from all over town.
There are vista points on both north and south sides of the bridge with parking lots. We parked our car and took some shots from the parking place!
But if you wanna to do more great photos – go closer…
Orange color and Art Deco style.. Must see place! You don’t get the full effect unless you get here!
Btw, it is the second most popular suicide place in the world
Now we are going to see Golden Gate Park! IT is the city’s largest outdoor spot.
We parked our car at Music Concourse garage and payed 6$ for an hour 🙂
We found this parking garage quite fast. It is near the California Academy of Science and music concourse 🙂
Golden Gate Park have something for everyone. Here you can find San Francisco Botanical Garden, California Academy of Science, Conservatory of Flowers or you can just hike around and enjoy your day!
Japanese Tea Garden is one of the most popular attractions in the park. It’s hidden in the center of Golden Gate Park. Entrance fee for adults is 9 $.
It’s really lovely place to visit. Here are beautiful landscapes with pagoda towers
fancy bridge:)
stepping stone paths and a great Koi pond!
This place is full of serenity and harmony!! Close your eyes, breath and open your chakras! 🙂
If you wanna something to remember about this place 🙂 Here is a small gift shop in a park! Here I get my new cat 🙂 One day I’ll write a story of all my cats all over the world:)
I highly recommend to people who like Japanese gardens to visit this one place! Here you can slow down, listen to the tinkle of water in a stream and admire the beauty of nature!
San Francisco has gorgeous architecture. Hence one more place you can’t miss – it’s “painted ladies”!
We are going up to the hill to see this elegant symbol of the past! It is located directly across the street from Alamo Square. We parked our car on a nearby street for free.
Alamo square park has great views to the city
and a great view of city’s iconic “Painted ladies”! They are Victorian and Edwardian houses. Don’t miss to take a photo with this charming row of houses!
If you have time in San Francisco, just walk around the city and enjoy it’s architecture!!
Now we are saying good bye! We are heading Sacramento. Small town Vallejo is on our way. I like small cafes in small towns. Why? You never know what will be inside, they are so surprising!!
From outside it seem not so pretty place, but I swear it’s the best hot dogs I’ve ever eaten in my life!
So atmospheric! For me, Coca-Cola fan, it’s perfect place!
A small american hod dog store – like in my fantasies;)
One hour to go to Sacramento… In small cities classical views: one-stored America 🙂
There are special left lines on the road called carpools. If you have two or more people in a car and you allowed to use the line! Sometime it’s really faster!
Along the highway you can find many trailer markets. Any buyer would find something suits his requirements. Starting from smaller trailers from 10-15k$ up to gigantic trailers 100k$ worth.
We arrived to Sacramento in the evening and we’ll have to leave it in the morning. Therefore, we have no time to visit it’s great museums 😦 but I really advise you to do it! if you have time 🙂 We walked through the old Sacramento.
There are a lot of parking places in Sacramento and prices are also different:) We place our car here, on a street and payed 3,5$ for 2 hours 🙂 p.s in two blocks from this spot we saw place for parking costs 30$ 🙂 oO
Lots of shops with souvenirs, t-shirts, postcards , a lot of candy shops, along with a number of restaurants.
Hey, hey, we find him in a souvenir shop! On the 7th day of our trip! We finally know our future from Zoltar! Your can get your fortune ticket for 1$ 🙂
The old time boardwalks makes feel myself like in western movie in Sacramento 🙂
Every day before we are going to sleep we check if we have water or juice for the morning ) So , yeahh, every evening we are visiting local shops 😉
Ohh dear, this “all is BIG” in America. If you wanna to buy 0.5 liter of juice – Mission impossible! :)))) Today we are in Walmart :))
No small bottles :)) Hey dear, have you enough money for the big one? 😉
Tomorrow will be new day and new emotions:)
See you tomorrow 🙂
The journey to be continued…
