April 6th. Perfect morning with incredible view!
It will be always perfect – if your’s hotel location so close to the beach:)
We are heading to Valencia and there are some interesting places can’t be missed our way 🙂
I like small churches and here is my favorite one in these 6 days 🙂 It’s a small city Benicarló with a nice church and fountain/monument besides it – local farmers with a basket of artichokes.
Absolutely stunning location in a Peñíscola city with the magic view of Peñíscola castle, that was built by Templar Knights. Medieval walls are surrounded by water. If you are going to visit the castle – general fee is 5 euro.
We’ve reached Valencia! Look, there is one more option how to see a city, special touristic buses will show you all the best places!!
Perfect starting point for any art lover visiting Valencia is Museum of Fine Arts!
It is free and you can easily spend a few hours here.
Impressive Goya, Velásquez… and a lot of art on the religious tematic.
Impressive alter pieces.
The museum is cool and rich with the works of Spanish painters..
This museum was my first taste of Joaquín Sorolla and I was hooked!
We found a lot of architectural gems in Valencia!
Probably, the central touristic point – Plaza de la Virgen:) It’s awesome!! Gothic cathedral of Valencia is the most famous landmark! Check incredible architecture inside and try to find the Holy Grail, rumors are circulating to be located here:) or just enjoy streets musicians and cafes on the on the Plaza de la Virgen.
Bell tower! Look at it’s octagonal, distinctive shape! The symbol of Valencia) but we will have lunch and raise a glass for my friend’s birthday today!!
The exterior of this building itself is worth a look. Very impressive rococo style! Pastel colors and marble textures.
It was originally home of aristocracy and there is a museum of ceramic nowadays.
Stunning architecture!! Llotja de la Seda – it is a unique example of Gothic secular architecture!!
Historic towers – part of the long demolished city wall. This towers marks one of the entrance to the old city. From the top you can get a 360 degree view of the city!
Strolling around the city you’ll see how different it is 🙂
You will enjoy impressive buildings..
and find some ordinary attractions, that sometime make you smile 🙂
Plaza de la Reina is one of the oldest and busiest plazas in the City. It is a great place to have a drink, relax or just watch the world go round 😉 with the beautiful garden in the middle.
This is a good place to catch the open top tourist buses or city buses. A good place to start and end a trip around old city.
If you like modern architecture – you need to visit famous complex of futuristic buildings – The City of Arts and Sciences! Well known symbol of Valencia.
Relaxing and choosing our favorite building:)
You have more free time? There are aquarium, interactive exhibitions, concert hall and much more places to visit here.
Fascinating and unique bridge, that coexists with modern buildings )
Valencia will stay in my mind with plenty of orange trees on the streets and orange tree plantation near the city. If you wanna taste perfect orange juice – Valencia is a must visit place!!
We need to move! The weather is promising..
While we are driving through Valencia region – the smell of blooming orange trees make me crazy!! It’s so fantastic!!
Orange trees are everywhere!! Driving the motorcycle so close to the trees – I feel like I just need to rise my hand and grab the orange!! Guess if I did that? 🙂
Tomorrow will be new day and new emotions:)
See you tomorrow 🙂
