Day 5. Goodbye LA. Santa Monica. Heading to Monterey.

Our life full of moments when you need to say – Goodbye! 😦

Today is one of these days and we are saying: “Goodbye Los Angeles! We will be back!”

It’s time to move, we packed our suitcases and ready to go!

Today is a hot day and we are ready to swim:) we decided to do it in Santa Barbara! So it is our next destination point!

We stopped in a small city- Fillmore to refill our tank. A very colorful and patriotic place:)

It was not just tank what was refueled. We managed to find gorgeous bagels and donuts 🙂

It took us about 2,5 hours to get to Santa Barbara. So called the “American Riviera”.

Santa Barbara is blessed with beautiful ocean side! We stopped at East beach. Both free and paid parking are available.  Easy and shallow ocean entrance, showers, picnic places, cafes, children’s playground, rollerblading trails, volleyball courts…everything you need to rest and enjoy the life!

Santa Barbara is one of California’s most historic and most beautiful towns. The architecture of Santa Barbara is infused with the spirit of Spain. You will probably enjoy these red-tiled clay roofs, warm-colored walls and of cause arched facades!!! They are everywhere!!

You can even find here and play cute piano 😉 or sit in a bar inside)):) or buy a hat in a big hat shop close from this place 🙂

Here is so much relaxing atmosphere. We had good, long walk!

It was quite hard to find a place to eat outside with a great view on the main street and our 2 hour parking for free was almost ending. So, we decided to go for a dinner somewhere else:) 3 min drive along the State street!  We found a good restaurant. Like everywhere else in America plates are really huge! Even pancakes!! Monsters! DSC_2174DSC_2173

Let me introduce you 🙂 Here is a corn dog! I tried it for the first time and yeahh, I liked it! It is sausage on a stick that has been coated in a thick layer of cornmeal batter and deep fried.

And more and more astonishing views!

This was a short one as we spend more than 7 hours driving (about 520 km)!  It’s evening and we are finally in Monterey! One more thing I wanna to share is these amazing, huge cars! Seriously, it is a challenge to find something of a normal size. Everything here is triple big as in Europe! 🙂
