Greek islands. Day 5. Antiparos and Sifnos islands.

Morning!

Here is how local taverns start cooking a freshly caught breakfast 🙂 Couple minutes ago these squids arrived by local fishermen vessel and now chef cutting and rinses it on a pier!

We plan to eat our breakfast and leave this beautiful lagoon in the morning…BUT

Today is that day, when our plans are changing, cause I feel sick:(

Nothing special and I know what kind of medicine I need, but we haven’t got it on board, so we need to find it on a small island.

Ok, challenge accepted, let’s start 🙂

Our morning starts from trying to find a phone number of pharmacies and local clinic, call them, ask if they have the pills I need, how can I get prescription, do I need Covid-test to visit the doctor or he/she can just prescribe me without an appointment….

So many questions, so many calls we’ve done. I really was lucky, that we have local skipper with us, cause he talked with local medical personal in Greek. In an hour we called for a taxi, went to the Antiparos main city, found the clinic Google maps to take my prescription and attended the pharmacy Google maps!

Greek people are very open-hearted, can you image than even taxi driver called the doctor one more time to double-check if my prescription is ready and I can get it. Isn’t it amazing? Awesome people!!!

Hence, we are in a capital of Antiparos island. It’s a small but incredibly charming town.

Fuchsia bougainvillea is all around, it makes city so bright!

It was nice walk/run, but we are in a hurry! We had about 20 minutes till taxy should deliver us back to our yacht.

We were luck to catch the Maltese Falcon on our way to Sifnos island. It’s cruising masterpiece, one of the most iconic super-yachts, so if you wanna something luxury it’s available on charter market 🙂 Hell-yeah costly, but available for Richie rich ones!! 🙂

A small ones near the super-yachts looks so tiny, but nevertheless, much more romantic:) It is like a duke and a wandering bard in comparison! 🙂

Sifnos, here we are! A small and protected bay with peaceful beach and shallow waters! 100% our skipper takes us only to the best places!

Yet another time to admire a true skill of our sea wolf skipper!! After we arrived to the spot he jumped into water to check how anchor dropped. As observers our male crew part decided to follow our skipper. With no clue how he did it, but with no equipment he dive on about 6-7 meter depth to adjust anchor to make sure we wont be dragged by wind on cliffs nearby. About two minutes under water with intensive workout looks a piece of cake for a guy. We youngers, considered him to be an oldy dude. Shame on us, we required two/three gulps of fresh air to follow up his underwater manipulations!!! Shame on us!!

Anyhow, here we are, four satisfied friends, parents on an annual holidays, lost somewhere in Mediterranean! Disclaimer: it is not a beer commercial. I am trading happiness and adventure only!!! :))

Here is the photo of today’s sunset, you can see Venus on it. The most bright one on the sky.

I just can’t miss to tell you about nights on yacht being far away from cities. It is something unbelievable, when you are in total darkness, lying on the deck with zero artificial light surrounds you and looking up at the stars. Incredible fillings, no words to describe.
