Today we are going home, but lets’visit one more city in Estonia – Pärnu!
It’s the seaside city and has really great long sandy beach! If you are looking for a peaceful break from civilization visit it!
Let’s walk through the city center, it’s very quite with so nice and colorful wooden houses.
Here is monument of Johann Voldemar Jannsen, the father of Estonian journalism. You can find it on the main Pärnu pedestrian street. He has a hat in the one hand and a newspaper in the other one. According to belief if you touch the newspaper you’ll get good news on this day 🙂
Pärnu is so walk-able, so perfect as a relaxing day trip destination. You’ll enjoy the architecture and romantic stroll through the city.
I’ve made a lot of nice photos here 🙂
Here is one of the oldest survived building in the old town of Pärnu. It has been rebuilt according to a 17th-century style of architecture. Once it was an almshouse but currently here you’ll find the hotel plus medieval-themed restaurant 🙂
One more beautiful area for a walk is Valli Park. A lot of greenery, water, small bridge and fountain…. So cozy place!
Here you can find some history of Pärnu and look at what’s left of the fortifications.
Walk through the Tallinn Gate, which was the beginning of the previous postal road to Tallinn.
By the way, you can find some creativity spirit in the old town as well 🙂 Street art on the old buildings 🙂 Here are plenty of fun and detailed pieces to find.
Ohhh, it’s this moment – time to go home 🙂
If you are leaving Pärnu by bus, don’t miss to check and climb up for some photos on the small steam locomotive near the central bus station in Pärnu. It’s a monument to Pärnu Narrow Gauge Railway.
The end of this story 🙂
Tomorrow will be new day and new emotions:)
See you tomorrow 🙂
Don’t sit at home. Travel! Travel with me! 🙂 Meaww!
