We have great plans for today!
Firstly, we are heading to historic, medieval town – Besalú. 148 km to go!
There are few attractions there – e.g. touristic train, some small gifts hops, cosy cafes but the most important is this town history and architecture legacy.
It would be hard to miss Viejo bridge anyway 🙂 It’s a key landmark in the city) impressive arches and towers guards the entrance to the town.
The views with bridge are really superb!!
Our next stop is Figueres with the most visited museum in Spain – the Dalí’s Theatre-Museum. Another 25 km to go :)!
Yeah, it’s always quite easy to find a parking place for a motorcycle in Spain 🙂 Even here, near famous museum 🙂 and get a photo with a giant rooftop eggs sculptures.

Dali is genius for me!!! Look at this place! Probably the largest one and most surreal object in the world!! Here is an entrance to this magic theater.

You can find here all kind of his works – from ink drawing till great surrealistic paintings, sculptures and incredible room.. with furniture)
Here you can feel Dalí’s unique spirit.
His inspiration and subject of every work was his love Gala. Dali’s love to Gala was so legendary!!! So different: classic Gala and Galatea of the spheres..

but if you come closer you realize that it’s all about Gala – his muse and the love of his entire life 🙂
Dalí museum exhibition is huge, so you probably will need a couple hours to feel and enjoy it!

Installation of all time – is the Mae West room. The red sofa, the stand, two painting and a giant wig.
Climb up the steps and look through magnifying eye – objects merge together and form actress’s face!
There are two museums next to each other, so I highly recommend to take the ticket – Dalí Theatre – Museum + Dalí Jewels (14 euro per ticket for both museums). It was quite easy to buy a ticket onsite (we were lucky, April is not so crowdy), but you can do it also online – official web
Jewels are like bonus after the main part! Girls love gems! 🙂 Amazing collection! Truly impressive!! Absolutely must see!!
Be surprised of creativity and out of box thinking )) enjoy his different sides of art!
For me Salvador Dalí = genius and after visiting of this museum I have only one thing to say – WOW!! I thought I knew a lot about Dalí, but here I learned so much new about him!
Hopefully one day I’ll be able to visit great Dalí’s museum in Florida.
Figueres is Dalí’s birthplace. It’s small and relaxing town with nice food, great wine and decorated streets.
Sometimes, you just need to stop rushing for a bit to relax and enjoy the terrific mountains views to realize our life consists of marvelous moments like this one. 40 km of curvy mountain road to go. What can be more addicted for a biker! 🙂
Approached Cadaqués – small whitewashed city by the sea.
You can find Dalí statue in center of the town near the seaside promenade.
I said that’s this is the perfect place for statue – it’s saying you – take a shot!!!
On the other side of the street there are small art shops. Look how picturesque is Cadaques with it’s white buildings and stunning coastal views.
It feels like you are in small village not at a resort)
Dalí spent his school holidays here in his childhood (nearby you can find Dalí museum – house. Here is location – Google map )
I’m happy to be here for a day and enjoy the scenery:)
Charming town
It will take you some time to get here, but… you will fall in love with it..
Last 75 km for today – we are going to Girona to have a rest there 🙂
