Good morning Spain!
Half an hour riding from out hotel and we are in the center of Barcelona. We parked near the Plaça del Dr. Letamendi.
The morning is perfect when you see blossom trees on the streets in April.
+ Andrew as always can choose a perfect place to have a breakfast!
it quite busy place, so we made reservation and have free 30 min to wait:)
if you don’t want to stand and wait next to cafe – there is Gaudi’s work within 10 min of walking, the marvel of architecture and design – Casa Batlló.
It’s sunny, warm and we are enjoying outdoor breakfast and making plans for today
Last time I was in Barcelona – I decided to visit aquarium with Andrew only. So, we are together now and it time to do it! Definitely a must visit place, if you like aquariums.
If you don’t want to spend your time standing in a line to buy a ticket – just do it in advance online here – official website and you will save some euros too.
We started with the exhibition of sea shells
Then left all our moto gear in a special locker ( cost 1 euro).
And now we can enjoy the variety of fish and colorful corals.
Sea world.. every time I fall in love with you… more and more
Probably the most amazing moments are when you are going with the moving walkway under the big tank with sharks and rays in a glass tunnel!!
It’s always very impressive to look into the shark’s eyes.
Feeding the animals is always exciting. If you wanna to see how it looks like – check out there special list with feeding time!!
There is a special tank with Koi (Nishikigoi) fish where kids can feed them with special bottle feeders) costs – 4 euros
There is a restaraunt inside in case you’d like some snacks
or a gift shop – here you are 🙂
We liked aquarium very much, luckily it wasn’t so crowded. It’s a bit pricey, but totally worth it!!
Here are views you can enjoy in the park near aquarium
We a going to take a shot with the smiling lobster 🙂
Another Gaudí’s wonder – Casa Milà
If you are a bit crazy about Gaudí – you probably need to visit Gaudí’s first house!
Everything has a beginning! Casa Vicens is the first important order Gaudí received.
It was a summer garden home, the beginning of all his architectural work, his first masterpiece!!
You can by tickets onsite – 16 euro or get it online and save some euros:) – official website
You will enjoy the garden in front of the house.
There are different floors are different rooms to explore.
Having a bathing area in the house shows that Casa Vicens was a pioneer in the use of running water
The ceilings and walls are inspired by nature and feature design of plants, leaves, grass…
Gaudí’s enthusiasts will enjoy it!!
That magic moment when you are standing on the rooftop terrace and trying to understand his creative process.
This was a new place I explored for myself in Barcelona. Love it 100% !
One more place you need to see in Barcelona. It is anticipated that the building can be completed by 2026 – the centenary of Gaudí’s death. He worked for 43 years on the temple until 1926.
In general – it’s quite fast, if you compare to how long does it took to build other world’s great temples!
Eating time!!! discover beautiful architecture, shadow plazas and just stroll around the Gothic Quarter.
Of cause, when you are by the sea you can’t skip the opportunity to chill there:)
On Platja de Sant Miquel you just can’t miss this extraordinary sculpture – La Estrella Herida, that has become one of its iconic landmarks
walk, relax and make some photos 🙂
A lot of new emotions…
Time to refuel in all senses and prepare to the next day 🙂
Tomorrow will be new day and new emotions:)
See you tomorrow 🙂
The journey to be continued…
Don’t sit at home. Travel! Travel with me! 🙂 Meaww!
