This probably is the most recognizable symbol and famous meeting spot in the city:) – the Kissing Students fountain! It’s symbol of the romantic and spontaneous student life. We heard that the inspiration for the statue was actually the author’s nephew kissing a girl in the rain 😉

You can find these two kissing students under the umbrella near the Town Hall, in the city center!

It is believed that witches are riding across the sky on April 30th. So it’s called Witches Night:) as well here is another strong date(April 30th) connection with Celtic festival that was considered the last day of winter and was a celebration of the beginning of summer 🙂

Anyway to scare the witches and reflect evil spirits you have to light bonfires – nowadays firework is good replacement:) as well make big noise – bang and ring the bells 🙂 and do not forget to pray to St. Walpurgis, she is the saint who is is associated with protection against magic!
