Day 4. Venice. Burano.

Hello new day!

Today will be a Venice “must see” day!

Let’s start! We are taking a ferry to Burano! Terminal D! Check correctly were to go to! Our ferry brought us at Murano – glass island! 🙂 because of its famous glass making artisans! and next stop was Burano!

Burano is known as one of the most colorful island in the world! There are couple version of local legend about the reasons to paint each house in a different color. The official one states it was for fishermen to find their way home during foggy weather. But an alternative states it was fishermen wives colored houses differently so their faithful husbands would find the right house returning back home deadly drunk from a pub. To be hones, I prefer the alternative legend version. As it sounds more natural. :))

We are back to Venice and it’s always a question – to take or not a gondola ride:) ?

The city of Venice sets the rate at €80 per 40 minutes and after 7 pm – €100.

May be, it’s super – touristy you say, but in my opinion – this visit would not be complete without a gondola ride!

There are different variants where to go, here we are on the Grand canal
