New day – new emotions 🙂
It’s a bit strange to wake up in October and see that the shining sun outside. Then you realize that you can go out wearing a T-shirt and shorts 🙂
Good morning shiny California!
We ready to explore more!
Our first stop is YouTube Space LA.
Everybody knows what is YouTube! But do you know that there is a special places with a variety opportunities like special stages, cameras, lights, and all other that you need to make a great video/blog…. they really offer all you can imagine:) It’s all available at no charge if your channel has at least 10,000 subscribers.
But if you are going here, even just to visit and look how does it work (like a small excursion), make a reservation for a certain time via e-mail!
Our next stop is Venice Beach. We saw Pacific ocean yesterday in a moon light, so we decided that today is a good day to go to the ocean and sunbathe a bit 🙂
We arrived to the Venice and parked our car approximately 5 min walk to the beach, then we came closer to the beach and realized that parking here is cheaper 🙂 Surprise:) We payed 10$ for a day but beach parking was only 6$ 🙂
The Venice Boardwalk is great place to walk along. There are cafes, colorful murals, shops. You can visit a famous Muscle Beach outdoor gym and a skate park too)
Venice beach a good place to relax, sport or just walk 🙂 Look at this happy friends 🙂 who touched the sky Pacific ocean 🙂
We are enjoying Californian sun, the Venice beach, our walk. We ere heading to the pier!
Here you can enjoy the beach and of cause a lot of cafes to refresh are nearby!!
If you are in Venice, don’t miss to visit incredible place – Venice’s Canals!!
On our way there are a lot of places….
We reached Venice Canals and are really surprised!
Its a charming place! There are no words to describe that feeling when you see canals. You are walking here and the noise of city and the heat of beach disappear, you are like in a fairy tail, in you small inner world! Architecture of the district is colorful and unique! Highly recommend to visit this place!
Isn’t it the path Hank Moody walked with his Becca along in Californication?
We spent here more time that planned:) It’s really place to take amazing photos and to enjoy your time!
Venice is place to visit! I’m happy that I found this place – when I was planning our trip! And definitely is one of must visit place!
Our next stop is – Griffith observatory! One more majestic place to see!
It’s not so easy to park here, but probably you fill find a place on your way 🙂 If you will park on the road as we did (parking place near observatory was full) – you need to go up the hill 🙂 Remember to take water with you 🙂
Parking costs 4 euro per hour.
Griffith observatory is southern California’s gateway to the cosmos!
It’s really cosmic place!
On you way to observatory you can do one more shot with Hollywood sign and oversee it via telescope:)
Astonishing view of Los Angeles is here!!! 100%!!!
Inside the observatory you can explore building, all exhibition halls, grounds and telescopes for free. If you wanna visit live programs in the Samuel Oschin Planetarium -you need a ticket (7$ adults). There is no option to buy a ticket in advance. The visit day only. For more details visit the official website – web
You get in observatory and the first thing you see is a great Faulcault pendulum designed by the French physicist Léon Foucault. One of the largest of such devices in the world. This elegant scientific instrument demonstrates the Earth’s rotation.
It swings in a constant direction while the Earth turns beneath it. The pendulum knocks over pegs set up in the pendulum pit and indicates the progress of rotation.
There was a guide who told as how it works:)
Then we explored all halls. There are a lot of exhibits in every hall!!!
I liked “The Wilder Hall of the Eye”. Here you can see the progress of human observation of the sky and the tools used for that exploration.
“The Edge of Space”. Look at our universe!!! Explore meteorite origins. These tiny samples of the universe that come to Earth from space!!!
Have you ever seen the live image of the sun? Here is a coelostat!! It reflect a portion of the sky – sun continuously into a fixed telescope!!!
Here are a tons of other things to explore! Here Andrew is finding out how the crypton looks like:)
You also have an opportunity to look through a telescopes:)
Here is 12-inch Zeiss refracting telescope. Probably more people have looked though it than any other telescope in the world:)
Just 1 month before we started this journey to the USA, I watched “La-la-land”:) The Observatory was majestic in this movie 🙂 But when I arrived here – it really a place to be! Fantastic experience!
As always we need some rest and calories 🙂 We find a nice and cozy place with great food and tasty pies 🙂
So yaehhh, now we ready to go!
Our friend are hockey fans:) So they couldn’t miss the LA Kings first game of the season 🙂 Go Kings, GO!
We lifted them till Staples center and lost them in a crowd:) Let them get a bit crazy and enjoy the game!
Right next to Staples Center there is a Grammy Museum. In case you are music fan you should not miss the spot!
While our friends are getting their new emotions we are ready to explore LA downtown!
Downtown is full of skyscrapers. They are so fundamental. These ones will probably will stay forever in my mind ;), because they are the first ones I’ve ever seen 🙂
Weird architecture is all over the place! :))
The “must see” place for all architectural fans! The Walt Disney Concert Hall. There are also ongoing events in the evenings, so you are always welcome:)
Near the hall is one more extraordinary building – the Broad. Modern art museum with a honeycomb-like facade or I would rather say: grater-like facade 🙂
If you are a museum person, you would probably enjoy the museum of contemporary art:) it’s just across the street!
If you like flights and railways:) here is two in one:) Go for a quick, quirky and memorable ride just for 1$! Angel’s flight is the world shortest incorporated railway. It is estimated that Angel’s flight has carried more passengers per mile than any other railway in the world 🙂
I will miss this evening, these great and shiny skyscrapers! They are so inspiring. I like them more at night! Here are some photos 🙂
We enjoyed downtown, our walk, geocaching and coffee:)
Now we are full of new emotions and ready to rest!
Tomorrow will be new day and new emotions:)
Ohh, yeahh, today I’ve done one of my best selfies 🙂 Coca Cola fan in a paradise 🙂
See you tomorrow 🙂
The journey to be continued…
