October 2nd, 2017 and vocation starts! Yeahooo!!!! Let’s leave rainy Latvia and catch some sun in California 🙂 Childhood dream is about to come true!

We have 1 transfer in Amsterdam. One hour between flights to transfer to USA plane is really insanity – a huge airport, passport control and so little time to run to opposite airport wing. But here we go, we managed to made it! Happy couple 🙂 Sitting on the 2nd floor in transcontinental airplane 🙂

It’s just 11 hours to go to Los Angeles.

They gave us plaids and small pillows to sleep 🙂 movies/games/music to entertain ourselves 🙂 4 meals 🙂 It makes flight really easier 🙂

After 14 hour we reached our destination point!!! 🙂

My small purse and Andrew’s backpack is the only luggage arrived 😦 The rest of it decided to have some fun in Amsterdam 🙂 Airport personal took our contacts to call us when our luggage will arrive in LA. In this case AirFrance gave us vouchers for 100$ per person so we can buy first need stuff. You should collect all receipts and send ’em to AirFrance and they would transfer you money back for the luggage delay.

Next 2 weeks we will spend with our friend from London, so we waited them in LAX. Luckily, it was just about an hour or so to wait. It’s time to find a car we have already booked 🙂

There are a special bus stops near airport. We rent a car in “Alamo” company, so we found their bus stop and after a 10 min drive we arrived to the rental office.

Just 10 min in a line and we can choose any car from given row. It works like this:

• You find car you like from the given row
• You jump into it and drive away

Ohhh dear, 2 men are choosing a car 🙂 They are in a nirvana :))  It’s even funnier than girls in shoe store :))

Finally!!! It took them just 20 min make a difficult choice :)) And we are going to our first hotel.

We are staying in Inglewood (20 min from airport by car). But never do our mistake!! Never choose Inglewood 🙂 Why? The hotel was nice, but we went for a walk to a nearest shop and place we can eat our lunch.

After a 5 min walk we where stopped by a police, they said: – Tourists, are you crazy? Never walk here! Take your car and try to find meal somewhere else, in more touristic place 🙂  So, be safe and listen to a police advice 🙂 We took our car and went to Santa Monica to find a lunch.

We are a bit tired, so 1 American Bud Light and  have some rest 🙂 Tomorrow will be a great day! We hope so 🙂
