The best way to wake up on your birthday is with two gorgeous men in the bed 🙂 New day and new emotions, let’s start!
One more really good thing about big hotels, if you are traveling with a small baby, there is a special baby food available here. So, you don’t need to worry where to buy it 🙂
Yeahh, still have a bit of winter and Christmas mood on my birthday 🙂
We are ready to rent a car and explore the island!
Teide National Park is at the top of our must-see list 🙂 and I had a dream to see a volcano on my birthday 🙂 So we are going there!
Teide National Park is located in the center of the island of Tenerife. It’s the largest and oldest of the four national parks on the Canary Islands.
The entrance to the National Park is free, so you can drive or hike there.
There are a lot of special points, where you can stop and gain an amazing panoramic view with volcano!
Mount Teide dominates the landscape of Teide National Park. If you want to climb the peak of the Teide on foot, you need to obtain a special permission to do it. It’s free of charge but better to obtain it a few months in advance, cause the places are limited.
Roques de Garcia is a place to admire! Incredible natural sculpture park. You don’t realize how huge these rocks are until you are standing in their shadows.
That feeling that you are standing on a Moon 🙂 So unique landscape. I really like these lava rocks!
Probably the most popular is to take the cable car ride Google maps up the mountain and enjoy spectacular views 🙂 but it was closed on the day we visited 🙂 So find out when it’s open before you go!
Here are a lot of interesting places you can visit by car, but one more option is ..
to hike! There are a lot of hiking routs in a park. The landscape varies, it’s awesome when you start in pine forests and getting higher where is less green…
more black… volcanic in nature! If you visiting Tenerife island, visit Teide! I promise that you’ll like it 100%!
It’s time to see something else… and we are heading west!
Los Gigantes is a resort town on the west coast of Tenerife. One more thing I wanna do on my birthday is to swim with a view 🙂
We decided to visit the public heated pool – “Oasis Los Gigantes”.
It’s a lovely place to spend a sunny winter day or a half, get a tan, admire famous Acantilados de Los Gigantes, while sipping a chilled cocktail 🙂
Yeah, here is a great view of Acantilados de Los Gigantes, probably one of the most attractive natural wonders on Tenerife. It’s giant rock formations, Acantilados de Los Gigantes, that rise from the sea to a height of 500-800 metres. Very impressive view!
In addition to stunning landscape, the majestic cliffs provide protection from trade winds, contributing to a warm and sunny climate. So, it’s a lovely place to rest with kids.
Los Gigantes is a fantastic option for those who are looking for a quieter holiday resort.
Beautiful view over the ocean. Of cause you can explore the beach here, it has classical Tenerife’s black sand, but waves are too big and it’s hard to swim 😦
Little one is also enjoying 🙂
Yeahh, it’s quite hard to attend bars in the evenings when you have a small baby:) so, we are spending our evenings in a hotel’s bars 🙂
That’s all for today 🙂
Tomorrow will be new day and new emotions:)
See you tomorrow 🙂
Don’t sit at home. Travel! Travel with me! 🙂 Meaww!
Next day …Day 3. The monkey park. El Médano. The Pyramids of Güímar.
Previous day …Day 1. The flight. First day on Tenerife.
