Tallinn and Jägala waterfall.

It’s April 2017 outside and there is not much matter about the weather outside, if we have opportunity to travel – we do it!

This time it will be a car trip to Estonia. It will be easy to discover some cities in few days, cause Estonia isn’t so big, but it has a lot to offer 🙂

First of all, we are going to see Estonian capital and we’ll stop to see the widest natural waterfall in Estonia on our way.

Let’s go! but no rush, drive slowly, be careful, frogs!!! 🙂 (I have to admit I must have some kind of interesting sign and water-drain addiction 😉 )

I like it, it’s very picturesque. Worth a visit!

No people around (not a touristic season), so it’s quite and perfect place to relax and enjoy the nature.

Our next stop is Tallinn. It’s one of of the best preserved medieval cities in Northern Europe. Old town is ideal place to start our visit.

Let’s walk around cobblestone streets of Tallinn Old Town. Here is the Lucky Chimney Sweeper sculpture on our way, by famous Estonian sculptor Tauno Kangro.

But why it’s lucky? Once people tried to touch and even steel the button from sweep’s coat, as they used to have golden buttons on their uniforms. Lucky chimney sweeper sculpture is established in honor of all those men who climbed rooftops, as well it brings luck to the people in the city 🙂

So, touch the button:)

Tallinn is full of tortuous medieval looking alleys and has some lovely tiny little corners in the heart of the city. Here is one of them – Masters courtyard.

Here you can find some unique artisan shops with traditional Estonian handicrafts, clothing and accessories.

The whole Old Town is very romantic, full of photo opportunities 🙂 variety of great historic buildings and churches to attend. Many good restaurants to have a decent meal. Try traditional Estonian dishes or coffee shops. We spend about hour and a half to explore it on foot and really enjoyed our stroll.

One of our plan bullet was to attend IMAX in Tallinn. We did not had one in Riga these days. We ordered out tickets online and enjoyed big screen, great sound and comfortable chairs 🙂

Cinema’s building is quite old, but inside is very nice, plus a lot parking slots available beside it.
