We’ve bought a full day excursion for today. So we are going by bus to Kissamos city and then changing our bus for a cruise boat!!!
There are a lot of buses here! There is a free parking area at the port of Kissamos. Hence, you can reach the port by any transport. Touristic guided tours has food included. There is cafe on the boat, so if you do not have meal in your ticket you will be able to buy it there.
You have only 3 opportunities for a day cruise to Gramvousa-Balos from Kissamos (1st one – 10:20-17:45, next one – 10:40-18:00 and the last one – 12:30-19 :30). If you are going by yourself – you can buy tickets in port or online, no problems 🙂 27 euro per 1 ticket
We are ready to start our cruise!
The cruise boat is extremely crowded, but don’t worry everybody has a place to sit 🙂
Sometime you just need a “sea vitamin” 🙂
The first stop is small uninhabited island Gramvoussa with Venetian castle (no entrance fee). It stands at a height of 137 m, over the beach!
Take a quick swim and you are ready to go up to the hill (a 20 minute hike by rocky path) for unforgettable views! Totally worth it!
Must visit place to soak up D vitamin and enjoy exotic scenery.
The water is so blue. How many shades of blue can you see? 🙂
The most popular photo place-is near the flag ))
Ruins, stone wall and only some buildings remained but these spectacular landscapes…
The panoramic view of Gramvousa is so breathtaking! Limitless beauty!
The gorgeous place to visit!
Just remember to take your own water with you ) there are no shops up there
If you are going by yourself and buy your ticket for 27 euros – no dinner included ;(
Snacksand drinks are also in huge assortment ) It’s really nice that you may use your credit card on-board
Mojito + wild shores of Gramvousa= perfect holidays 🙂
Next stop is the Balos beach! We rent a sun umbrella on our cruise boat(4 euros)
The Balos beach is famous for its turquoise waters!
I’ll recommend to have special swimming shoes here, sometimes it’s a bit hard to get in the water 🙂
Looks like my photo is already photoshopped)) but it’s not!! Exotic scenery!
One of the most exciting parts of the beach are the shallow pools of sea water trapped in the sand. Beautiful water and generally very warm.
Here you also will see a pinkish sand 🙂
The Bay of Balos is stunning, probably one of the iconic pictures of western Crete!
It was cool adventure and we are back to our hotel for a super time full of positive emotions!
Tomorrow will be new day, new emotions:)
See you tomorrow 🙂
