Morning!! The weather is so promising today 🙂
We are leaving small city Gandia, where we stayed for a night and heading to Calpe town – 50 km to go!!
Yeahooo!!
If you are riding near the sea, make some stops to observe it!!
This distinctive rock is emblematic for Calpe. Stunning view!!!
25 km more and we are in Benidorm. Streets are full of tourists and quite busy 🙂
We are on a steep and craggy road up to the hill to the place called – La creu, if you are coming by car/motorcycle there is a free parking there but remember no shops or toilets on route.
Some more steps up to the hill!
The reward is superb, the views are amazing !
The cross itself isn’t very pretty, but views are spectacular!
This is a great location for a panoramic view of Benidorm!
Then we went to the sea side to enjoy wonderful winding streets teeming with shops, bars and restaurants. We are not just riding:) we are eating too 🙂
One more definitely a must see place due to it’s great views is – Balcón del Mediterráneo.
Beautiful place with so many photo opportunities 🙂
Descending down stairs to the stunning viewing platform offers great views out to the beautifully Mediterranean sea. Just admire the view!!!!
You can see the peacock island here (the large rock on the left in the water)
Day or night, the Balcón del Mediterráneo is a perfect place to take fantastic photos, to sit and have a cool refreshing drink and maybe a paella 🙂
45 km more and we are in Alicante!! Parked our bike on a street without any problem:) It’s so easy to park motorcycle in Spain:) ready to explore the city!
We started our visit with Explanada de España. Emblematic walk way in Alicante 🙂
So many artists, music entertainers and street vendors….
Butterflies in my head or stomach:))
A lot of stalls, cafes, great choice of restaurants… something for everyone on these wavy promenade. Lovely place to walk. Stop for a glass of wine and tapas (snacks) because that’s what you do in Spain!:)
Palm tree lined Explanada de España is actually parallel to the sea. Enjoy sea breeze!
and lovely marina views.
Floating sculpture with the surfer is really original 🙂 Like it!
This is the end of Explanada de España, we are heading to our motorcycle 🙂
Just can’t skip and don’t take photo with these great giant ficus:) (Ficus macrophylia), by the way – the greatest and biggest one you can find on Explanada de España. The one on photo below is average one 🙂 but I like it anyway:)
Fight for an ice cream after a long walk 🙂 It’s an ordinary case – when you say: – No, I don’t wanna ice cream 🙂 and he bought only 1 for himself 🙂 Than the fight start!! 🙂
Great place to spend several hours exploring – Castell de la Santa Bàrbara
Free to enter but if you take the lift up there is a charge(3 euro).
Free parking near the castle:)
Let’s start exploring..Let’s hike a bit!
A nice walk up to the hill
Put your hills in a backpack 🙂 and wear comfy shoes:)
The castle is really impressive. The ascend is worth it for the views
Fabulous city panorama.
So beautiful that you can oversee the whole city!
+ can see the whole coast line
Selfie time :))
Exhibits provide insights into the long lasting history of the cultures that have conquered this region. Really recommend to visit!!!
+ 100 km to ride to the Murcia city!!
We are lucky and surprised, we didn’t know that there is ongoing festival in Murcia!!
Called “Fiestas de Primavera” – spring festival
Main event is a parade of floats and men dressing in special dresses
Parade culminates at 23:00 with the burning of the sardine on the Saturday after the Holy week.
Murcia is cosy and really clean city…
Some building are nice decorated with natural flowers.
Nice pic with a lemon tree hanging in the air :)) Let’s party for a bit and then ride next 50 km to our next hotel!
Tomorrow will be new day and new emotions:)
See you tomorrow 🙂
The journey to be continued…
Don’t sit at home. Travel! Travel with me! 🙂 Meaww!
