Let’s start the new day! Today we are planning to visit really great places!
Ready, steady, go!
The first stop is Natural History Museum of LA!
Plan is to visit California science center (for free) as well.
Common parking for both museums costs 12$ 🙂
General admission fee is 23$ for adults. There are always some extra exhibitions available 🙂 We got permanent exhibitions + spider pavilion for 28 $ ! So check out prices and ongoing exhibitions on the official website website
Have you ever seen a dinosaur? You can do it here!! Look at these happy smiles 🙂 two girls met them for the first time:)
There are a lot of halls to explore here. We started with a big Gem and Mineral hall near the entrance. The rocks and crystals are really cool! The history of California is interesting, how people survived before irrigation, the gold rush and growth after.
Girls best friends are diamonds adventures !!! 🙂
The dioramas in the Museum’s Mammal Halls are among the most renowned in the world.
Checked all about avian life on the planet in the Birds Hall
As real Coca-Cola fan I enjoyed one more thing here is an ornithologist’s room – a small can of Cola:) in a corner 🙂
Got to know all about anatomy, behavior, and various adaptations of reptiles and amphibians the Hall of Reptiles and Amphibians
There are lot of interactive things in the museum. Look here are a special nature labs!
We measured our bones’ wight in the Birds Hall 😉
The best thing about this measurement? – even here we needed google help to convert lbs to kilos. Enjoy, you are not in Europe;!)
We got to know what snail see and feels when we are standing in front of her (3 red persons on the photo below). oO
Probably the most amazing thing for me was to look at paleontologist’s work in a real time.
We were really impressed by their work! Let’s try to be an archaeologists by ourselves. 🙂
Our extra exhibition was Spider pavilion. If you are not an arachnophobic person you will get fun!
There is a pavilion where you can walk and almost touch them! and another room with terrariums.
Don’t miss the gift shop at the end) You can find here even cute dinosaurs made from recycled Coca Cola cans 🙂
Our next stop is Aquarium of the Pacific!
But as you now we need energy to move on, so we parked our car at Aquarium parking (8$ for aquarium guests) and found a Bubba Gump Shrimps!! We all love this movie, so we decided to try it:)
Shrimps are awesome! It is quite expensive place, but it worth it!
It’s really atmospheric place! If you wanna waiter to stop near your table – just put the red sign “Stop-Forrest, stop” and waiter will see that you need assistance 🙂 and will come 🙂
The view was really perfect, so we decided to sit outside but I think inside is more atmospheric, real fans will be exited!
So, now we are ready to see more! Lets move to the aquarium!
It wasn’t a big line to get the ticket, but may be during summer it would be a issue) but you always can buy you ticket in advance on a website:)
General admission fee is 29.95 for adults. There are lot of extra/combo tickets, so check the official website website
It is huge and great inside, but outside – it’s amazing, because you can touch ohhh, a lot!
We had a unforgettable experience!
We touched jellyfish! There are volunteers who will always help you, will say how you need to do it and will answer all your questions!
Have you ever touched the ray? Lucky me 🙂
Wanna to feel see stars? Here you can do it!! There are a many kind of them and they are really all different!
Everybody will find something for themselves. If you wanna to see huge sharks, you can do it here as well 🙂
or you can enjoy them and divers in a huge aquarium inside:) Divers are friendly, they entertain visitors with great pleasure!
I visited a lot of aquariums, but so huge collection of medusae I saw for the first time! Fantastic!
Aquarium is one of the largest in US!
If you like corals and colorful fishes you will be happy to be here!
Come face to face and touch ocean’s inhabitants! Discover sea world! It’s a perfect place!!
Near the aquarium is cute park with a lighthouse for a walk . Amazing views!
And if you like ships, one more place to visit in Long Beach is Queen Mary, a retired ocean liner. Google map
We will rest for a bit and will enjoy bright lights of a big city at the Universal CityWalk!
When you are coming closer to the Universal you can’t miss these elegant and stylish palms!
The parking is gigantic but you will always find a spare slots!
It’s really BIG, it even has pedestrian crosswalks:)
But! The parking price is also high) Probably it was the most expensive parking place for a hole our journey 😉 35$! OMG! 🙂 May be it was due to Halloween party. But we enjoyed the view from a parking roof!
Universal CityWalk is a high-energy hub of everything you might need and imagine during the night!
It is entertainment district 100%! A great place to hang out! The vibrant and colorful place in the evening!
You have good choice of places to eat, thing to do and to see:)
Don’t miss Hard Rock cafe! It’s really cool inside!
Caramel apples! One more thing I wanna try in US. They are so American:)
I’ve done it!
CityWalk has really plenty of great bars, restaurants and shops on site. Or you just walk around and enjoy the lights! Don’t forget you can go to the movies too:)
Or try yourself on a mechanic rodeo bull )
We enjoyed lights and sounds of Universal CityWalk! I must say WOW!!!! about it! Atmospheric place!
Now we are full of new emotions and ready to sleep for a bit
Tomorrow will be new day and new emotions:)
See you tomorrow 🙂
The journey to be continued…
