Good morning!!
We are starting our morning in one of the Andalusian iconic sights – La Alhambra.
The great La Alhambra was a fortress, a palace with beautiful gardens and a city. All in one!
This place has limited visitors capacity so buy tickets before your visit! The best way is to buy tickets is online!!! Because on the day of your visit tickets can be already sold out + you will escape standing in a long line:) However, we arrived without pre-ordered tickets and managed to buy them in a separate queue in ticket-machine (credit card only). There was an announcement at about 11:00 am that all tickets were sold out.
Alhambra is so huge, probably you can’t see it in one day. We decided to visit Generalife gardens because they are so fragrant in the spring!! 7 euro per ticket.
Generalife can been translated as “garden of paradise”.
So nice topiary gardens
Orange trees still impress me in spring!!)
Fountains and small ponds
Palace and the city view from Generalife
Garden is full of colorful flowerbeds
So beautiful manicured gardens.
Wonderful views in all directions!!
Even better views from the top!
Here you fill like you took a step back into medieval Mediterranean times.
Magnificent Moorish architecture!
The various decorative styles express power and supremacy.
Locals 🙂 A bit lazy 🙂
Some more photos with geometric manicure before leaving:)
– Kate, your flowers time exceeded:) Let’s ride!!
Back to the road again!
Be always prepared to change your route!
We planned to see one more small city today – Setenil de las Bodegas (with incredible houses built into cliffs) but rain enforced some corrections. So we changed our route and went directly to Málaga
Got showered on our way 🙂 even underwear were wet))
But no time to be upset)) we are in Málaga!! Time to explore this city!
I’m not that kind of person who recommends places to eat, but this great place to eat – “El Pimpi” I will remember 100%, so highly recommend if you are in Málaga!!
You can’t pass this place – theater itself is a historical reminder of the Roman imperium. It represents the traditional Roman theater architecture with the typical tiered seats and a grand entrance.
We are walking around Málaga:) and it’s an amazing experience even if it’s rainy sometime 🙂 Can’t take a photo of the best examples of palatial architecture in the city – Palacio Episcopal on a beautiful square with tons of great restaurants around.
Not so far take a look to Santa Iglesia Catedral Basilica de la Encarnacion. The architecture is absolutely fantastic.
Heading to the Málaga’s marina we met a bronze guy in the park:) El Cenachero or Fish Vendor is a statue of young man who was selling fish on city streets in the past.
The tree below is a large Chorisia Insignis – the silk floss tree growing in park 🙂
We are on the nice promenade near the Málaga’s port. There’s a variety of bars, cafes and restaurants at a vast variety of price ranges.
Here is the “Cubo”, where you can find a selection of masterpieces from the Centre Pompidou’s collection (modern and contemporary art museum in Paris)
Andrew and modern “Cubo” 🙂
We are heading to the city center to find some evening drinks:) There is a beautiful park with exotic plants, orange trees and small fountains on our way.
Nice little lazy square – Plaza de la Merced in the center of the city with a lot benches to rest and many coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Worth to visit if it’s on your way.
In the evening all dreams drinks come true 🙂
Tomorrow will be new day, new dreams and new emotions:)
See you tomorrow 🙂
The journey to be continued…
Don’t sit at home. Travel! Travel with me! 🙂 Meaww!
