Day 3. The monkey park. El Médano. The Pyramids of Güímar.

One of my life’s credo is never stop exploring :)! Here is a new day, let’s start!

We are in a monkey park! It’s situated in Arona. It’s less than 5 minute from the Playa de las Americas.

It’s super good for kids and super good for price 🙂 10 euro per adult and 5 euro per kid:) but our little one gets free entrance) still too small 🙂

Great way to spend couple hours. We get here before midday, cause it’s not so crowded.

Buy some baskets with fruits and vegetables for animals (near the entrance) and enjoy!

Here you can find enormous amount of guinea pigs! They will not leave you indifferent 🙂

Here you  are being able to interact with most of the animals! So nice.

You are allowed to feed all the animals you see in this zoo, by the way each animal has its own favorite foods. The zoo isn’t so big, but worth a visit.

Here are a lots of shadows if you want to get some rest from the sun or just sit and look at monkeys 🙂

Here is variety of birds as well.  This tiny one came to me to take a selfy 🙂

You can get some great pictures of you holding a parrot which you can buy at the end of your visit.

It was a great idea to come here, would highly recommend, especially if you are visiting with babies. Ahh, yeahh, Andrew is trying to catch the lemur’s tail 🙂 It’s a joke 🙂 Not a single Lemur was harmed that day 🙂

Our next stop for today is the small coastal town El Médano.

The paradise for water sports, especially for surfers! The best wind and waves are here! Look at these palms? Oo, it’s quite windy now 🙂 and during the summer months the trade winds are a constant here.

El Médano has great beaches as well 🙂 so, everyone can find some chill here.

We came here to have a look at kite and wind surfers! Great views!

We found an interesting sculpture of whale vertebrae backbone on our way. Look how big it is!

We are heading Pyramids of Güímar now. One of the mysteries that explores never managed to resolve:) What is their purpose? Who built them? 🙂

Pyramids of Güímar is an Ethnographic park with the complex of lava-stone pyramids. The official information is that the pyramids were built around same time as the pyramids of Egypt, Peru and Mexico. The other version is that they were built by some local farmers in the 19th century 🙂 or aliens :))

The main attraction are the six step pyramids, oriented towards the sun during summer and winter solstices.

The reproduction of the boats used by Thor Heyerdahl and about his transoceanic voyages on a wooden raft are also very interesting!

Here is so called Canarian Botanical Route as well. Fantastic garden with beautiful the most endemic plants of the island and brilliant information on the plants and their uses:)
