Pisa is a small town, not so much to see, but Leaning Tower of Pisa is a must!
Today we start our day early in the morning, because probably the best time to visit Leaning Tower of Pisa is morning or late afternoon. It won’t be so crowded 🙂
There is a big parking place in front of PIazza del Duomo (Piazza dei Miracoli)
This square is important center of European medieval art and one of the finest architectural complexes in the world!
Everybody wants classic shot with Pisa tower, one of Italy’s signature sights:)
- Andrew? – No, no,no 🙂 #bedifferent
Pisa tower is part of the religious complex in the Duomo Square and acts as its bell tower, but it was never used for defending the city 😉
Our next stop is La Spezia.
La Spezia is a small city that located just to the south of the five towns (the Cinque Terre).
We will catch a train to Levanto and get to any of 5 towns here in La Spezia. You need some special permit to go there by car.
It takes only 10 minutes to get to Riomaggiore, the first of the five towns on the train route.
We bought a day pass, so we could move from one city to another at any time, without standing in a lines (16 euros per 1 person) you can check the price here – official web
Hiking is the cheapest way to get from town to town 🙂 There is a wanking path between towns. it will take you full day to hike 5 towns 🙂 )
The Cinque Terre is so scenic!
To cool off after hiking ? You can enjoy Mediterranean Sea even in October!
The Cinque Terre is one of Italy’s most picturesque spots!
Every town is full of grocery stores and markets, you can buy fresh fruits at every corner, so you can grab and enjoy a picnic with a perfect view or eat some seafood at restaurant while overlooking the Mediterranean Sea 🙂
Spend all day here, move from one town to another and you will cherish these moments after! I promise you!
