Vienna. Day 2.

Hello world! It’s a new day and new adventure!

Freud, Trotsky, writers, poets, architects…were drinking coffee in one of the Vienna’s most attractive coffeehouse – Cafe Central :)! Plan in about 15 extra minutes for your visit, it’s about 99% you will be standing in line to get inside :))

I would recommend to visit the MuseumsQuartier (Google maps) and Belvedere for art lovers 🙂

The Belvedere is a magnificent Baroque palace, stunning by itself  and a place with very valuable art collections!

Most people come here to admire world’s biggest Klimt collection and his “Kiss”, probably Austria’s most famous work of art 🙂

One more popular touristic place in Austrian capital is Schönbrunn Palace, but it’s not practical to see the palace complex if you only have one day in Vienna. Schönbrunn is located in the outer districts of the city, so you will need to spend at least two hour in public transport to get there and back to the city center. Hence, it would be a waste of time for short Vienna visit. But for a longer stay I would definitely recommend the spot to attend.

The palace itself is a terrific building! Visit is a must! The Blue Staircase, the Mirror Room, the Hall of Ceremonies, gardens …a lot to see and feel how Austrian royalty lived.

Vienna is more than just a citadel of high art, great architecture and fancy chocolates 🙂 You can’t imagine Vienna without classical music and one of the finest Opera Houses in the world!!

You can enjoy the performance for free in April, May, June and September. Opera and ballet performances are casting live on a big screen on the front of the opera building.

Today I have an opportunity to visit it! Yahooo! Let’s go!

Opera’s interior is so luxury, that it feels more like a palace than a place of musical celebration:)

It’s all for today!!!
